Erica Ryu is a senior majoring in Biochemistry and minoring in Writing. Under the mentorship of Fred Inglis, she’s worked on numerous projects involving Dictyostelium discoideum. She is currently researching the metabolic rate/yield trade off in bacteria.
She hopes to study microbes in graduate school. Outside of lab, she pretends she can dance and volunteers at the St. Louis Science Center, where she tries to convince children that bacteria are cool, not gross (in Erica’s own words.)
